Welcome to our website. We are the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 311 Benjamin O. Davis. We named our post after first African-American Generals Benjamin O. Davis.

We are a nonprofit veterans service organization comprised of eligible veterans and military service members from the active, guard and reserve forces.

Our mission: Foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts; to serve our veterans, the military and our communities; and to advocate on behalf of our veterans.

If eligible, we welcome you to become a member of our VFW Post or  our Auxiliary.

Happy New Year 2017: A great year is about to pass soon. It will give it’s place to a New Year that brings yet another new set of challenges with promises of filling us with the spirit of newness. We need to cherish the memories and hone the skills of the year that is passing while welcoming the New Year.

The VFW Auxiliary has an inexhaustible supply of goals.   In our continuous efforts of supporting the VFW and it’s causes we are involved in a kaleidoscopic range of activities.   Subsequently, the VFW Auxiliary has developed a social conscience of it’s own.  With the paramount goal of helping families in distress, it’s members perform community services including: the promotion of Americanism, volunteering at Hospitals, spreading information regarding Legislative issues concerning our Veterans, promoting Scholarship Incentives, helping Veterans and Family Support, participating in Youth Activities, supporting the VFW National Home, and other worthy causes.
